Serie A: Inter, AC drop point in the league opener

Internazionale suffered a loss of points in the first league match of the season.

The Italian champions were stuck at a draw (2-2) in the away match against Genoa.

Alessandro Vogliacco gave the home team the lead. Marcus Thuram equalised after half an hour and seemed to score the winning goal in the 82nd minute.

But Junior Messias scored for Genoa deep into injury time.

The injured Stefan de Vrij was absent from Internazionale, where Denzel Dumfries was allowed to come on after 66 minutes.

 

AC Milan, also lost points. In Milan, the score was 2-2 against Torino.

Dutch international Tijjani Reijnders came on as a substitute for AC Milan after an hour.

The visitors took the lead after half an hour thanks to an own goal by defender Malick Thiaw.

In the 68th minute, the score became 0-2 thanks to a goal by striker Duván Zapata.

In the final phase, AC Milan fought their way to a point thanks to goals by substitutes Álvaro Morata (89th minute) and Noah Okafor (95th minute).
