Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Sadiq Umar delivered a match-winning performance on Sunday as Valencia CF secured a convincing 2-0 away victory over UD Levante.

The encounter, played in Valencia, saw the visitors dominate proceedings in the second half after a tightly contested opening 45 minutes ended goalless.

Sadiq, who is gradually finding his rhythm at the Mestalla, started the game on the bench but was introduced in the 58th minute to inject fresh impetus into Valencia’s attack.

His presence immediately added urgency and physicality to the frontline.

The breakthrough eventually came through Largie Ramazani, who handed Valencia the lead after sustained pressure.

With Levante pushing forward in search of an equaliser, Sadiq put the game beyond doubt in the 84th minute.

The Nigerian international calmly finished to seal the maximum points for Valencia and cap an impressive individual display.

The goal marks another positive step for Sadiq as he continues to settle into life at Valencia, boosting both his confidence and his growing influence within the squad.
