Remo Stars have been crowned champions of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Daniel Ogunmodede’s team secured their first-ever NPFL title with a 1-0 win over Niger Tornadoes at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Sunday.

Olamilekan Adedayo scored the decisive goal just six minutes from full time to seal the historic victory.

With this triumph, Remo Stars become the first privately owned club to win the NPFL title since Udoji United’s success in 1996. They are also the first South West club to claim the crown since Julius Berger’s triumph over two decades ago.

The Ikenne-based side tops the table with 68 points from 35 matches, ten points clear of second-placed Rivers United, who have 58 points from the same number of games.
