Rasheedat Ajibade seals deal with French giants PSG

Nigeria’s Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, has agreed personal terms with French women’s football powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain Féminine.

The skilful forward left Spanish Iberdrola side Atlético Madrid Femenino at the end of last season following the expiration of her contract.

Unattached heading into the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Ajibade led the Super Falcons to clinch the title, securing three Woman of the Match awards and ultimately being crowned the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Reports from France confirm that PSG and Ajibade have reached a full agreement, with the player set to join the squad.

She will become the second Nigerian in the PSG Féminine ranks this season, joining midfielder Jennifer Echegini.
