Belgian Jupiler League side Club Brugge avoided its third successive defeat in a row as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sporting Charleroi.

The draw came with a huge cost as Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder Ralph Onyedika was sent off in the game.

Onyedika has become an integral part of the team due to his consistent performance both in the league and Cup games.

After a scoreless first half, it was the host who broke the deadlock earlier in the second and the Brugge suffered another setback after Onyedika was controversially sent off for a dangerous play.

Brugge found their way back into the game towards the tail end and secured a valuable 1-1 draw.
