French Ligue One Club FC Nantes faced Laval on Saturday evening in preseason game and Nigeria’s Super Eagles Moses Simon was on target and sustained an injury during the game.
The Nigerian International has been nursing an injury that kept him out of action since March 2024.
He missed his club’s key games and was unavailable for the 2026 World Cup qualifier.
The Yellow Submarine faced Laval on Saturday and secured a 2-1 win with Simon scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot.
I only regret that Moses Simon is struggling with his ankle,” club coach Aintoine Kombouare said after the clash with Laval.
Simon is expected to recover for the commencement of the 2024/2025 French Ligue One season.
