Liverpool and Manchester United played out a 2-2 draw on Sunday evening after a wild second half.
There were several fine opportunities in the opening stages of the match, with Cody Gakpo, among others, coming close to putting Liverpool in front.
However, the biggest chance of the first half was for the visitors.
Dalot broke free on the right edge, from where he sent a sharp cross into the box, where a completely free Amad Diallo came charging bit the half ended goalless.
The whole situation changed in the second half and turned out to be one of the most entertaining encounter.
Bruno Fernandes showed cool vision and sent a masked pass into the box, where Lisandro Martinez appeared and knocked his first goal of the season into the net. 1-0 to Manchester United.
The home team was thus in search of goals, and it didn’t take many minutes before the score was level.
After a great dribble, Gakpo smashed the ball into the corner and made Anfield explode. 1-1.
Ten minutes later, Matthijs de Ligt used his hand in the box, and then Mohamed Salah was able to put the home team in front from the spot.
Shortly afterwards, he was responsible for the assist when Diallo got his last foot on the ball in the middle of the box and turned it into the goal to make it 2-2.
