Colombia International Lucas Diaz was the hero on Saturday afternoon as his brace took Liverpool to the Premier League summit

Díaz showed once again why he is preferred over Cody Gakpo at left wing. The Colombian opened the scoring in the 26th minute after a goalkeeping error by Kepa Arrizabalaga, and 2 minutes later, he also made it 2-0.

Darwin Nunez wrapped up the game with the 3rd goal later in the game.

Liverpool are top of the Premier League after five games, although Manchester City still have a game in hand.

At Selhurst Park, Manchester United continued their inconsistent performance as they were held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace.

Tottenham Hotspur also booked a victory after two league defeats in a row.

In front of their home crowd, they won 3-1 against Brentford, who had opened the score after 22 seconds.

Chelsea, in the lunch kick-off, walloped West Ham United 3-0 with Nicholas Jackson scoring a brace
