Senegal’s U20 women’s team, the Lionesses de Téranga, have arrived in Abeokuta, Ogun State, ahead of Saturday’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup third-round, first-leg qualifier against Nigeria’s Falconets.

The Senegalese delegation landed in Lagos on Tuesday night and was transported by road to Abeokuta.

The team is scheduled to hold its first training session on Wednesday evening as preparations begin for the crucial encounter.

Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the match officials for the fixture, which serves as the first leg of the penultimate qualifying round.

The aggregate winner will face the victor of the Guinea-Bissau vs Malawi tie for a place at the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.

Uganda’s Diana Murungi will officiate as referee, assisted by compatriots Immaculate Ongiera and Elizabeth Nassolo.

Burundi’s Suavis Iratunga has been appointed fourth official.
Ghana’s Christine Ziga will serve as match commissioner, while Gabonese official Berthe Minka has been named referee assessor.
