Pinnick, who has held a seat on the Council for the past four years, was considered a strong contender for re-election. However, he narrowly missed out, finishing in 7th place with 28 votes.
Africa was allocated six seats on the Council, with Pinnick falling just short of securing a spot.
Moroccan Football Federation president Faouzi Lekjaa topped the election with 49 votes. Here’s the final ranking:
