Patrick Vieira is set to leave Strasbourg FC just after a year as the manager of the French club.
The French club, who are majorly owned by Chelsea owners BlueCo, are now looking for a new head coach.
Vieira signed a three-year contract when he was appointed last July. He is leaving by mutual consent after a review carried out by new technical director Pascal De Maesschalck.
Strasbourg’s next head coach will be expected to play possession-based football to qualify for European competitions.
He will be backed in the transfer market this summer.
Strasbourg finished 13th in the French first division under Vieira.
As a player, Vieira won the World Cup and European Championship with France as well as three league titles with Arsenal. Before moving to Strasbourg, he managed New York City FC, Nice, and Crystal Palace.
