Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen was on target as Galatasaray secured a 3-1 win over Alanyaspor on Saturday.
Osimhen, who scored the decisive goal that sealed Galatasaray’s qualification for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 earlier in the week, once again delivered when it mattered to continue his impressive run of form.
The home side took the lead just before halftime through Sacha Boey, who found the back of the net in the 45th minute. Alanyaspor responded after the break, with Steve Mounié restoring parity.
Galatasaray regained control when Luca Toure made it 2-1, before Osimhen put the game beyond doubt with the third goal to cap a commanding team performance.
The strike takes Osimhen’s tally to 10 league goals this season, underlining his importance to Galatasaray’s domestic and continental ambitions.
