Turkish champions Galatasaray clinched a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Samsunspor on Friday, with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen delivering a match-winning performance.
Galatasaray got off to a bright start when Leroy Sané opened the scoring in the 8th minute. Osimhen doubled the lead in the 29th minute, finishing off a sweeping move to put the hosts firmly in control.
Samsunspor, however, mounted a spirited comeback. Moussa Musaba pulled one back in the 56th minute, and with just two minutes left in regulation time, Kliinch struck to level the match at 2–2.
But Osimhen had the final say. The Super Eagles forward stepped up in stoppage time, netting the winning goal in the 90+3rd minute to seal all three points for Galatasaray, nicknamed the Red and Gold.
The result extends Galatasaray’s strong run as Osimhen continues to shine in front of goal for the Istanbul giants.
