Paul Onuachu netted the decisive goal as Trabzonspor edged Kocaelispor 1-0 in their first league match of the season.
The Nigerian striker broke the deadlock just four minutes into the second half and featured for 77 minutes before making way for Felipe Augusto.
His fellow countryman, Anthony Nwakaeme, also started the game and was replaced by Bosluk Arif in the 84th minute.
Onuachu completed a permanent move to Trabzonspor from Sky Bet Championship side Southampton last month.
