Nigerian international Paul Onuachu was once again the hero on Saturday as Trabzonspor secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Çaykur Rizespor in their Turkish league clash.
The lanky striker, who has been one of the standout performers for Trabzonspor this season, continued his impressive scoring form by netting the only goal of the encounter in the 51st minute.
Onuachu has been in prolific form for the Black Sea Storm and currently leads the club’s scoring chart in the league this campaign.
With the strike, the Nigerian forward also etched his name into the club’s history books. He became the first Trabzonspor player since 1992 to score in eight consecutive matches, underlining his importance to the team’s attacking success this season.
His latest effort ensured Trabzonspor claimed all three points while extending his remarkable scoring streak.
