The coach of Nigeria’s D’Tigress, Rena Wakama, has explained the reasons they lost to France and said they must return to winning ways in time.
The African champions suffered a 75-54 defeat to the host France in the second group game of the Women’s basketball in Paris.
Wakama admitted that they allowed France to dominate the game and allowed them 63 percent opportunity to shoot.
” We didn’t play our game, we are not ourselves, what helped us secure the win on Monday, we didn’t bring today.
It’s tough when you let another team shoot 63 percent inside the paint.
It’s hard to beat anybody, we need to get back to our ways”, she said.
D’Tigress will face Canada on Saturday and they must win to secure a ticket to the quarter-final.
