The hope of Team Nigeria athletics have a podium finish was dashed in the women’s 4×100 meter relay race at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The Nigerian side has had all rough in the singles event and hope that the story will be different in a team game .
But it was never meant to be as both men and women crashed out of the race.
The quartet of Tima Godbless, Favour Ofili, Justina Ekpobeyan and Rosemary Chukwuma represent the country in the 4×100 meters and they were placed in the heat 2.
Despite their efforts, they could only finished in the 6th position.
In the men category,
quartet of: Favour Ashe, Kanyinsola Ajayi, Alaba Akintola and Usheoritse Itsekiri gave it their all in the race but they finished 7th with a Season’s Best of 38.20s. .
