Despite suffering a defeat in the opening game, Nigeria’s Sports minister John Enoh has insisted that Super Falcons will bounce back.
The Nigerian side suffered a narrow 0-1 loss to Brazil in Bordeaux on Thursday.
Gabi Nunes the only goal of the game in the 37th minute to condemn Falcons to their first defeat in the game.
” Our hopes for this team is high, I leave here with strong hope that the Super Falcons can still qualify”, he said after the game.
Falcons will another opportunity to redeem their image when they face the World champion Spain on Sunday in Nantes.
