Olympic Update: Botswana govt declare public holiday to celebrate Tebogo’s victory

The government of Botswana has declared public holiday in the country to celebrate the victory of sprinter Leslie Tebogo in the 200 meters final in Paris.

After missing out on the 100 meters final, Tebogo proved the bookmakers wrong to win the 200 meters with a time 19.46s and Kenneth Bedranek 19.62s in second position while Noah Lyles was placed 3rd with a time of 19.70s.

The holiday was declared in other to celebrate the achievement of the athelete who lived up to the hype before the race.

Tebogo became the first athlete to win an Olympic gold for the country.
