Atlético Madrid have completed the signing of Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta, with the 28-year-old committing his future to the Spanish giants on a four-year deal that runs until 30 June 2030.
The agreement, reached between Atlético and Atalanta, sees Lookman don the famous red-and-white jersey as he begins a new chapter in La Liga.
Renowned for his versatility and dynamism, the right-footed attacker is capable of operating as a second striker or on either wing, where his pace, direct running, and dribbling ability make him a constant threat in the final third.
Born on 20 October 1997 in Wandsworth, London, Lookman who represents Nigeria at international level started his football journey at Waterloo FC before progressing through the youth system at Charlton Athletic.
He made his senior debut for Charlton on 3 November 2015, launching a career that has seen him feature for Everton, RB Leipzig, Fulham, and Leicester City, before joining Atalanta in the summer of 2022.
Now, the Super Eagles star takes his talents to Madrid, where Atlético fans will be hoping his flair, speed, and experience translate into immediate impact in domestic and European competitions.
