Super Falcons striker Gift Monday has earned a spot in the NWSL Team of the Week following her standout performance for the Washington Spirit.
The 23-year-old forward netted the match-winning goal in a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Orlando Pride over the weekend, marking her first goal for the club since joining.
Monday capitalized on a mistake by Orlando goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse, calmly slotting the ball into the net in the 63rd minute to seal the win.
She is joined in the Team of the Week by her Spirit teammates Aubrey Kingsbury, Tara McKeown, and Riley Bernal.
