Ethan Nwaneri, who is eligible to represent Nigeria, has been named Arsenal’s Player of the Month for February.

The 17-year-old forward secured the award ahead of Gabriel Magalhães, Jurrien Timber, and Mikel Merino, earning 54% of the fan vote.

“Ethan Nwaneri has been chosen by our supporters as our men’s Player of the Month for February after topping our poll,” Arsenal announced on Wednesday.

Nwaneri’s breakthrough season continues to gain momentum, with February marking a significant milestone as he claimed his first individual club honor.

He kicked off the month in style, sealing Arsenal’s emphatic 5-1 win over Manchester City with a stunning goal, curling the ball past Stefan Ortega in the final moments of the match.

In just his fourth Premier League start, he provided his first senior assist, delivering a pinpoint cross for Merino’s headed goal against Leicester, helping secure a crucial victory.

Following his goal against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday, Nwaneri now has eight goals this season—only Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney have netted more for Premier League clubs before turning 18.
