Unattached Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is reportedly on the verge of a return to the South African topflight, with Kaizer Chiefs said to have tabled an offer for the shot-stopper.
Nwabali became a free agent in February after his contract with Chippa United expired, bringing an end to his stint with the club in the South African Premier Division.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who has been a key figure for the Nigeria national football team, is currently holidaying in the United States while weighing up his next move.
Sources close to the player indicate that Kaizer Chiefs are keen to strengthen their goalkeeping department ahead of the new season and have identified Nwabali as a prime target due to his experience in the league and impressive performances at international level.
A move to Naturena would mark a significant step in Nwabali’s club career, as the Glamour Boys continue their rebuilding process with the ambition of returning to title contention in South African football.
