Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo has expressed deep concern over the injury sustained by Nigerian defender Ola Aina.
Forest secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Manchester United at the City Ground on Tuesday, thanks to Anthony Elanga’s decisive goal.
However, their win was overshadowed by Aina’s premature exit from the match before halftime due to injury.
“We have to assess it. It’s always a concern when a player gets injured without contact, so we’ll scan and see how serious it is,” Santo said.
Aina has been a key player for Forest this season, making 30 appearances for the former European champions.
