The away teams got the upper hand in the match day 2 of the league especially in the second as all the teams pick draws.

In Minna, Niger Tornadoes returned to Bako Kotangora memorial stadium on Sunday but they failed to secure a required result as they were held to a goalless draw by the visiting Nasarawa United.

In Yenogoa, Kano Pillars proved to be a difficult customer as they held the host Bayelsa United to 1-1 draw

Auwalu Ali put Pillars ahead in 41st minute before Rabiu Abdullahi equalized in the 59th minute.

Plateau United held Shooting Stars to a 1-1 draw at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba

Victor Dawa put the away side ahead in the 39th minute before Uche Owuansoanya equalised in the 45th minute.

It was a different story at the Muhammad Dikko stadium as Katsina United defeated the visiting Bendel Insurance 2-1.

James Oronsanye put the Benin Arsenal ahead in the 17th minute and Lukman Bello leveled up for Katsina United 22nd minute while Azeez Falololu scored the winning goal in the 90th minute.
