English Premier League side Nottingham Forest have confirmed the sacking of head coach Sean Dyche, bringing an end to his spell at the City Ground.

In an official statement released by the club, Forest announced the decision on Tuesday, thanking the former Burnley and Everton boss for his service.

“Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach.

We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the Club and we wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be making no further comment at this time,” the statement read.

Dyche’s dismissal follows a difficult run of results that left the club struggling for consistency in the Premier League, raising concerns over their league status and overall performances.

Nottingham Forest are expected to begin the process of appointing a new manager immediately as they look to stabilise the team and improve results for the remainder of the season.

Further updates on the club’s next steps are expected in the coming days.
