Nottingham Forest have officially added Nigeria international Ola Aina to their registered squad for the UEFA Europa League.

The Premier League side included the versatile full-back ahead of their final two league-phase fixtures of the competition, boosting manager Nuno Espírito Santo’s options as the Tricky Trees push for a strong finish in the group stage.

Aina is now in contention to make his first appearance in the Europa League this season when Nottingham Forest face Portuguese outfit SC Braga on Thursday.

The 28-year-old defender had been sidelined after sustaining a hamstring injury while on international duty with the Super Eagles in September, but he has since recovered and is back in contention for selection.

His inclusion comes as a timely reinforcement for Forest, who will be looking to strengthen their defensive setup in the decisive stages of the European campaign.
