Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy, an award honouring the world’s best female goalkeeper.

The 24-year-old is among five finalists for the prestigious accolade, alongside Ann-Katrin Berger (Gotham FC), Cata Coll (Barcelona Femeni), Hannah Hampton (Chelsea Women), and Daphne van Domselaar (Arsenal Women).

Nnadozie enjoyed an outstanding year, notably helping Paris FC defeat rivals Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine. She was instrumental in the 5-4 penalty shootout victory that secured the club’s first major trophy in almost 20 years.

Her international performances were equally impressive. She kept four clean sheets in six matches at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, playing a vital role in Nigeria’s record-extending 10th continental title. She was deservedly named Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has been nominated for the Women’s Team Coach of the Year award. His nomination comes in recognition of his leadership in guiding Nigeria to WAFCON 2024 glory.
