Nigerian representatives record good outing in the continent

Nigerian representatives in the CAF Champions League Rangers International and Remo Stars started their campaign on a good note with a win over their respective opponents.

Frank Uwumiro scored the only goal of the game to give champions Rangers International a narrow 0-1 away over Zilimadjou of Comoros in the first leg of the preliminary round of Champions League.

In Ikenne, goals from Nduka Junior and Sadiq Ismail gave Remo Stars a 2-1 win over AS FAR of Morocco while Beya reduced the deficit for the away side.

The reverse fixtures are slated for next weekend in Uyo and Rabat.

Meanwhile, El Kanemi Warriors could only secured a 1-1 draw against Dadje FC in the first leg of Confederation Cup on Saturday.
