Southampton’s difficult 2024/2025 English Premier League campaign worsened on Saturday afternoon with a home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Despite the loss, Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu made his mark after coming off the bench.
Wolves took control early, with Larsen scoring twice in the 19th and 47th minutes, silencing the home crowd.
Onuachu was introduced early in the second half and immediately put pressure on the Wolves’ defense. He struck the crossbar in the 60th minute before finally pulling one back in the 75th minute.
However, his efforts weren’t enough to save Southampton, as the defeat further deepens their relegation troubles.
