Nigeria beat Ghana 3-1 to qualify for CHAN

The Nigeria’s home based Eagles proved to be the better side with a resounding 3-1 win over the Black Galaxies of Ghana.

Ghana came into Nigeria brimming with confidence after playing a goalless draw during the first leg played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Nigeria Premier Football League star made their home advantage counted as they seized the control of the game from the kick off.

They netted the opening goal in the 6th minute via Sadiq Ismail before the duo of Nduka Junior and Isaac Saviour made it 3-0 for Nigeria under 30 minutes.

The West African neighbor came out stronger in the second half and had their consolation in the 71st minute through Amakhona Stephen.

The game ended 3-1 on aggregate in favour of Nigeria and thereby handed them a qualification ticket for the competition proper.

Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda has given the nod to host the tournament next year.
