Lee Carsley, the interim manager of the English footballers, has expanded his coaching staff with the inclusion of the former Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole.
The former Chelsea and Arsenal left-back played 107 international matches for the ‘Three Lions’.
Carsley was the national coach of England’s under-21s, he has temporarily stepped down from this position.
The fifty-year-old coach will lead the national team at least during the Nations League matches against Ireland and Finland next month.
The English Football Association is looking for a permanent successor to Gareth Southgate, who resigned after the defeat in the final of the European Championship against Spain.
He was England’s national coach for eight years and lost two European Championship finals with his national team.
