Fenerbahçe boss José Mourinho has been handed a three-game suspension after a heated altercation with Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk during the aftermath of the Super Cup clash.

Following Fenerbahçe’s loss, Mourinho approached Buruk from behind and pinched his nose, an action that caused the Galatasaray coach to fall to the ground.

The Turkish Football Federation considered a ban ranging from five to ten games but ultimately settled on a three-match suspension, reportedly taking into account claims that Buruk had provoked Mourinho at the final whistle.

This marks Mourinho’s second touchline ban of 2025, with the Portuguese manager previously receiving a four-game suspension in February for making racist remarks towards members of the Galatasaray bench.
