Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger Moses Simon achieved a remarkable career milestone on Saturday, making his 500th professional appearance in Paris FC’s 1-1 draw against Auxerre in the French Ligue 1.

The 30-year-old featured for 70 minutes at Stade Jean-Bouin in a tightly contested encounter, where the hosts struggled to break down their visitors despite dominating large portions of the match.

Simon’s landmark outing comes more than 10 years after his professional debut at Slovak side AS Trenčín, where his blistering pace and fearless attacking play first gained attention. From those early beginnings, he has grown into one of Nigeria’s most reliable and consistent performers in European football.

Over the course of his career, Simon has represented five clubs across Slovakia, Belgium, Spain and France, delivering goals, assists and leadership along the way.

His most successful spell came at FC Nantes, where he made 201 appearances, scoring 37 goals and providing 42 assists. Before moving to France, he enjoyed a productive stint with Belgian outfit KAA Gent, playing 136 matches and contributing 21 goals and 16 assists.

At AS Trenčín, his first professional club, he registered 17 goals and 10 assists in 38 appearances, while at Spanish La Liga side Levante, he recorded one goal and one assist in 23 outings.

Since joining Paris FC, Simon has already featured 14 times, scoring three goals and providing two assists this season.

Saturday’s milestone further underlines his longevity and influence in European football, with the winger continuing to play a vital role for club and country as he enters the latter stages of a decorated career.
