With the latest update from the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football ( CAF), North African country Morocco is set to stage the next edition of the African award.

Morocco is gradually becoming the mecca of African football with the country in the picture for every football event in the continent.

Morocco has given the green light to host the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

According to the latest update, north African nation is likely to be named as the host country for the 2024 awards.

The city of Marrakech in Morocco hosted the 2023 edition where Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen won the African Footballer of the Year award.

The city that will stage the 2024 is yet to be named.
