Man City’s decline continued against Palace

Manchester City had to settle for a single point when Pep Guardiola’s team played 2-2 against Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

Manchester City went seven games in a row without a win in the autumn, but in midweek the defending English champions hit back with a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

After just four minutes, the offside trap failed completely, and Daniel Munoz was able to make it 1-0.

The visiting team was therefore in search of a goal, and they got it after half an hour of play when Erling Haaland rose into the box and beautifully slotted the ball into the back of the net.

Midway into the second half, however, the Manchester City defense was once again in disarray.

Maxence Lacroix stood completely unmarked in the middle of the field, where he could easily head a corner kick into the box and put Crystal Palace ahead again.

Once again, Guardiola’s team managed to respond when Rico Lewis received the ball in the box and kicked it crisply to make it 2-2 after 68 and secured a draw.
