Olympique Lyon coach Paulo Fonseca has been handed a lengthy suspension until November 30 by the LFP disciplinary committee following his heated altercation with referee Benoît Millot during Lyon’s match against Brest on Sunday.
In addition to the suspension, the committee imposed unprecedented restrictions on Fonseca.
Until September 15, he will be barred from entering his team’s locker room before matches and at halftime, following UEFA’s disciplinary model for European competitions.
Furthermore, Fonseca will not be allowed to sit on the bench during games.
