Former Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has expressed his excitement over the recognition from IFFHS.
The Portuguese gaffer was among the coaches nominated for the coach of the year following his outstanding performance with the Super Eagles.
Peseiro proved the bookmakers wrong by leading the Super Eagles to the final of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
“Very proud to receive this nomination from IFFHS, a recognition that reflects the hard work and dedication that my coaching staff and I have invested over the years in serving the Nigeria national team,” Peseiro said.
“The record we break goes down in history, as well as the unforgettable walk to the final of the AFCON.
“Thanks to the Nigeria Football Federation, the players for the dedication they showed in every training session and competition d also the entire staff and fans who supported us and believed in our work.”
