Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Fulham FC midfielder Alex Iwobi has launched a great initiative in London, a shop where everything is free.
In East London, where Iwobi grew up, a pop-up supermarket called Alexpress has opened.
The shelves are filled with bottles of soft drinks, bread, turkeys: in short, everything you would find in regular British supermarkets at this time of year.
The difference, Alexpress customers don’t have to pay for their groceries.
‘Every year around Christmas I try to give something back, now with the shop”.
” It is intended for people who otherwise cannot afford a Christmas dinner”.
” If I can help families with that and give them a great Christmas, why not?”, Iwobi explained.
