Nigerian international Alex Iwobi was the hero as Fulham F.C. secured a deserved 2-1 home victory over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur F.C. on Sunday afternoon.
The Cottagers made a flying start to the derby, taking the lead as early as the 7th minute through Harry Wilson, who finished calmly to hand the hosts an early advantage.
Fulham continued to press and were rewarded again in the 34th minute when Iwobi found the back of the net to double the lead, sending the home fans into celebration.
Tottenham responded after the break and pulled one back midway through the second half via Brazilian forward Richarlison, setting up a tense finale at Craven Cottage.
However, Fulham held firm in the closing stages to seal all three points and claim bragging rights in the London derby.
