The International Table Tennis Federation has unveiled the draws for the 2025 ITTF Championship, presenting a challenging path for Nigeria’s representatives.
The draw, held on Wednesday evening, paired Nigeria’s quartet—Aruna Quadri, Olajide Omotayo, Matthew Kuti, and Muizz Adegoke—against formidable opponents in the opening round.
Aruna Quadri will face Brazilian star Victor Ishiy as he looks to redeem himself following a second-round exit at the last World Cup.
Muizz Adegoke will take on Belgium’s Adrien Rassenfosse, while Matthew Kuti is set to battle Serbia’s Samuel Kulci. Olajide Omotayo has been drawn against Brazil’s Leonard Iizuka.
The championship is scheduled to run from May 17 to 25 in Doha, Qatar.
