Nigeria’s table tennis ace, Quadri Aruna, delivered a dominant display at the ITTF Africa Cup Benghazi 2026, cruising to a 4–0 victory over Libya’s Alajaebi Habeb in the Men’s Singles Round of 16.
The African champion was in complete control throughout the encounter, using his experience, power, and tactical discipline to overwhelm the home favourite and secure a straight-sets win, much to the disappointment of the local crowd in Benghazi.
Aruna’s victory confirms his place in the quarterfinals of the continental championship, as he continues his push for qualification to the ITTF World Cup.
The ITTF Africa Cup is taking place in Benghazi, Libya, from February 7 to 9, 2026, and features Africa’s top table tennis players competing for continental honours and World Cup qualification spots.
