The National President of Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC), Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi has reiterated that the functional supporters clubs in the country are united, and are working together for a common aim.

This is against the backdrop of the recent peacekeeping move made by the leadership of the National Sports Commission (NSC) to ensure that supporters clubs in the country are united.

The ANFASSC number one man who appreciated the NSC, said the notable and renowned supporters clubs would not renege on their promises of sustaining their cordial relationship.

He said “We appreciate the National Sports Commission under Mallam Shehu Dikko and Hon. Bukola Olopade for their giant strides even in their early days, we are working towards a common goal and it’s only beneficial for us for all parties to sustain what we have built.

“Stakeholders see and they know the functional supporters clubs, so it’s pertinent to reiterate that we are together and we won’t give room for opportunists to come in-between us, intruders have no place in our midst”.

He said the popularity and recognition that himself and his team at ANFASSC are getting is not unconnected to the unique touch they added to the game in terms of branding, mileage and feasibility”.

“ANFASSC may be the most notable, prominent or vocal, it’s due to the touch we added to the game in terms of organization, our itinerary of events, Corporate Social Responsibilities and relationship with stakeholders, we understand what is applicable globally and we are not leaving any stone unturned, but we are quite aware that some people laid the foundation”.

He urged Nigerians, the NSC, the Nigeria Football Federation and other Sport Federations not to lose sleep over anyone coming with the intention of causing rancour or division, adding that the parties doing the job are on the same page.

He assured that the supporters clubs will remain United, particularly at this crucial time when they are needed by the Super Eagles in their quest to pick up the 2026 FIFA World Cup ticket.
