Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has acknowledged that he is “fighting for his job” as the season progresses.

Amorim also admitted that the club took a “risk” with their strategy during the January transfer window.

Since taking charge in November, the former Sporting Lisbon boss has suffered seven losses in 13 Premier League matches, including five defeats at Old Trafford.

Despite the disappointing results, there has been no sign that his position is under immediate threat.

The 40-year-old, however, made it clear that the team’s form puts everyone’s future at risk.

“We are fighting for our jobs until the summer,” Amorim said in a press conference on Friday.

“When I chose this profession, I knew it came with the risk of results. I understood the challenge of taking over mid-season without new signings, and I knew it would be dangerous for a coach. But from day one, whether the results were good or bad, I have had a clear vision of what I want to do, and I’m willing to take these risks because I believe in the long-term benefits.”
