The shirt Diego Armando Maradona wore during the semi-final of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico is being auctioned.
The Argentine football legend led the country to a World title in Mexico scoring one of the greatest-ever goals in the history of the competition.
It is the legendary Belgian goalkeeper Jean-Marie Pfaff who decided to put the shirt up for sale.
“Always better than leaving it lying around”, he said.
The value of the piece of fabric is estimated between 735,000 and 1.1 million euros.
Maradona died on November 25, 2020.
