Daniele Orsato has joined the Expert Refereeing Commission of the Russian Football Union (ERC RFU).
The 48-year-old referee ended his career after Euro 2024, the Italian is known for his work in Serie A, Orsato’s track record includes the 2020 and 2024 European Championships and the 2022 World Cup.
At the World Cup in Qatar, the Italian refereed the semi-final match between Argentina and Croatia.
In 2020, Orsato refereed the Champions League final between PSG and Bayern, that same year, the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) named him the Italian referee of the year.
