Former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry unexpectedly stepped down as coach of the France U21 on Monday.
Henry had a contract with the French Football Federation until June 2025.
The federation reports that the 47-year-old has decided to stop for personal reasons
Just over a week ago, Henry won silver with France at the Olympic Games in his own country.
In the Parc des Princes in Paris, Spain was too strong in the final after extra time with 3-5.
“Winning Olympic silver is one of the proudest things in my life,” Henry said.
“I am incredibly grateful to the federation, players, staff and supporters for this magical experience.”
Henry has been in charge of the U23 team since the summer of last year.
The Arsenal legend previously led AS Monaco and Montreal, he was also assistant coach of the Belgian national team.
