Kai Havertz is set to be sidelined for the remainder of the season following a hamstring injury sustained during Arsenal’s mid-season training camp in Dubai.
The German forward has been a key figure for Arsenal this season, scoring 15 goals across all competitions.
Arsenal are in a fierce battle with Liverpool for the Premier League title and have already secured a spot in the Champions League last-16 after finishing third in the group stage.
However, their trophy hopes have taken a significant blow with reports indicating that Havertz will not return to action this season.
The Athletic has revealed that Havertz has suffered a serious hamstring tear, and surgery could be required to address the injury.
Even if surgery isn’t necessary, Havertz is now focused on recovering and preparing for the 2025/26 season, which is still six months away.
This injury setback follows Arsenal’s decision not to sign a striker during the January transfer window, despite concerns over existing injuries to key forwards.
Bukayo Saka has been out since mid-December with a hamstring issue, and his return isn’t expected before March. Meanwhile, Gabriel Martinelli also sustained a hamstring injury in the recent defeat to Newcastle United, and Gabriel Jesus has already been ruled out for the rest of the season.
