The Nigerian football family was thrown into deep mourning on Tuesday afternoon following the death of the former Flying Eagles attacker Gift Atulewa.
Atulewa came into the limelight following his superb performance in the 2005 Flying Eagles team to the FIFA U20 World Cup in Netherlands.
He has been on the sick bed for quite sometime battling high blood pressure.
His death was finally announced on Tuesday afternoon at the age of 38 years old.
Atulewa was third player from the 2005 team who has passed away others include Isaac Promise and Adefemi Adebayo.
