Super Eagles and FC Augsburg midfielder Frank Onyeka remains confident that Nigeria can still secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Nigeria’s chances took a hit after a disappointing home draw against the Warriors of Zimbabwe, leaving the team in a tight spot in the qualifying campaign.
Onyeka acknowledged the challenge ahead but believes the team’s fate is still in their hands.
“We know the situation is tough, but there’s still hope. We just need to focus and win our next four games — then, hopefully, we can qualify,” he told OmaSports.
The midfielder missed Nigeria’s last qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe due to injury.
